2026 Snownergie Simard Snowshoe Race - Results

The Snownergie Simard Snowshoe Race took place this weekend in Boischatel, Quebec. Multiple snowshoe running and trail running events took place with 5, 10 & 14km snowshoe events held. The 10km event awarded points towards the Dion Canadian Snowshoe Series.
Men’s 5km Snowshoe:
Julien Pinsonneault won the 5km in a fast time of 22:20. Francois Bernatchez finished second in 36:39, followed by Nicolas Thisdel in third in 39:15.
Women’s 5km Snowshoe:
Marie Chabot won with women’s 5km in a time of 36:23. Joanie Plamondon finished second in 37:13, followed by Michelle Dubé in third in 42:05

Men’s 10km Snowshoe (Dion Series Points Race):
David Savard Gagnon took first place in the 10km Dion Series points race in a time of 38:31. Alexandre Boulé was second in 46:50, followed by Salim Bedoui in third in 47:35.
Women’s 10km Snowshoe (Dion Series Points Race):
Veronique Demers won the women’s 10km in a time of 55:07. Helene Cournoyer finished second in 61:40, followed by Julie Cantin in 63:16.

Men’s 14km Snowshoe:
Julien Pinsonneault (who also won the 5km snowshoe race) won the 14km breaking an hour in a time of 59:38. Benoit Gaillard was second in 60:40, followed by Jean-Francois Gaudreault in third in 75:15.
Women’s 14km Snowshoe:
Marie-Eve Berthelot was the lone competitor in the women’s race taking the women’s title in a time of 1:48:34.
