2026 Dion Summerstown Forest Snowshoe Race - Results

Mother Nature never seems to disappoint this winter! Participants in the 12th annual Dion Summerstown Forest Snowshoe Race were treated to a nice blanket of snow in addition to chilly -20C weather to contend with on race morning.
Men’s 8.4km Race:
2025 World Snowshoe Running Champion Eliot Soderholm of Paul Smith’s College, NY didn’t seem to mind the conditions as he flew through this year’s course beating his closest competitor by nearly 3 minutes in a time of 35:16. Bernie Hogan finished second in 38:03, followed by Bryce Shannon in third in 41:00. Rob Lefebvre was the top master in a time of 42:02.

Women’s 8.4km Race:
Claudine Soucie took first place in the women’s race in a very fast time of 40:45. Shiloh Gillard finished second in 57:04, followed by Tanja Urbancic in third in 59:43. Kaniko Soda was top women’s master in 60:01.

Men’s 4.4km Race:
Cazimir Couble finished first in a time off 26:22. Reece Perry finished second in 28:52, followed by Trevor Forsey in 30:06. Jon Young was top men’s master in 30:27.
Women’s 4.4km Race:
Jenn Gareau finished first in a time of 29:45. Kylie Thomson was second in 32:18, followed by Lianne Charron in 36:58. Nancy LaBaff was the top women’s master in 38:19.
The 8.4km race awarded points towards the Dion Canadian Snowshoe Series.
