On site parking is limited. It is recommended to carpool or meet at the Hammond Golf Course (600 du Golf rd.) and take one car the the race start 1K away.

PUBLIC CHANGE ROOMS/BATHROOMS:
Located at the Hammond Golf Course pre-race. There are portable bathrooms at Hammond Hill but no running water.
Hammond Hill currently has 9 tiny homes and 2 yurts that can be rented for on site accommodations. For more information, visit the Hammond Hill website www.hammondhill.ca for booking details.

SNOWSHOE RENTAL:
If you don’t own a pair of snowshoes, Dion Snowshoes are available to rent. During the online registration process, please make sure to check the box off if you need rental snowshoes. The rental fee is $10 per pair. All proceeds will go towards maintaining and increasing the rental fleet.

RACE KIT PICK UP:
Race day - Saturday March 2nd, from 9:30 - 10:30 am on site.
RACE KIT:
A Broken Stick Brewing Company craft beer (or non alcoholic beverage) and voucher for a warm bowl of chili or soup from Hillside BBQ and a surprise Swag item!
COURSE DETAILS:
Explore Hammond Hill and the Hammond Golf Course over these scenic, 10K, 5K and 1K courses comprised of groomed and single track trails. The race course features technical elevation changes through undulating terrain. The 2 loop format allows spectators to cheer on their friends and family members.
POST RACE CEREMONIES::
Held at Hammond Hill Beer Garden. Redeem your beer (or non-alcoholic beverage) and warm chili or soup - Awards - Draw prizes

AWARDS:
Snowshoe Canada will be providing:

A total prize purse of $500 to the top three male and female finishers of the 10k
main event

Medals to the top three age groupers in ten year age groups
-
A beautiful hand carved annual wooden trophy will be available for presentation
at the awards ceremony.
All participants will be eligible for the many draw prizes including a pair of Dion Snowshoes!

WEATHER:
In the unlikely event of no snow, the race will take place as a trail run (without snowshoes). If the race is held without snowshoes, we encourage you to wear a traction device on your shoes as the trail may be icy.

DION CANADIAN SNOWSHOE SERIES:

The 10K Open race will count towards the series points totals. Points will be awarded for each race in the Dion Series with the series champions being crowned at the final event in the series.
