RACE START: 10:00 am (Sydenham Track, Sydenham, ON)
RACE DAY REGISTRATION/KIT PICKUP: 8:30-9:45am at the Sydenham High School Cafeteria, Wheatley St and Rutledge Road (only a few blocks from the start/finish). Washroom facilities available in the school.

 COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The start/finish line is located at the track in Sydenham. This picturesque 8km runs along the north shore of Sydenham Lake. The course is flat with the exception of two small hills. The surface is a combination of road and smooth trail. The turn is just past the bridge on Eel Bay.

EARLY BIRD ENTRY (before Sept 15) - $35.00 (includes technical fabric race t-shirt)
STANDARD ENTRY FEE (before Oct 15) - $35.00 (includes souvenir cotton race t-shirt)
(T-shirts provided for all participants who pre-register online before October 15, 2008. Sorry....no t-shirts after October 15, so sign up early!)
SAFETY: The trail is narrow in places. Be alert. For the safety of yourself and others, please no running strollers or headphones!

POST RUN AWARDS (Sydenham High School Cafeteria):
- First place male and female will receive merchandise awards from our sponsors.
- Age Category awards (male & female: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+)
- All runners and walkers eligible for numerous draw prizes.
- Post run food and beverages provided
Proceeds from the race will benefit The Parr Christie Singers.
RESULTS will be posted at Running By Design following the run.

This year, we are increasing our efforts to make the run environmentally friendly. We welcome Bullfrog Power onboard as a sponsor – Bullfrog will provide 100% green electricity to the race. Other earth friendly race features: an online registration option, recycling and composting facilities onsite, organic coffee provided by Hillside Coffee Company of Sydenham, organic and local food options, and literature provided by Earth Day Canada and Foodland Ontario. In future years we will look at a shuttle bus from Kingston, and continue to improve the race by striving to make it a “no-waste” event. If you have any suggestions or comments, drop us a line!
